Do not hesitate to request for more information before proceeding with the quest.
Chat and transact in app
Always chat and transact within the Quest app. On other outside chat platforms, chats can be deleted by other party, erasing evidence you can use to prove a scam attempt.
Use QuestPay
All users are encouraged to use QuestPay for a safe and smooth experience. QuestPay holds payment after accepting the hero's offer and will be safely released after the quest is done to satisfaction.
Things to look out for when making offers
When making offers on the app, we advise you to keep an eye out for suspicious behaviour and report it to us to investigate further. You can make a report by contacting us here.
Some possible fraudulent activities include:
- Requesting for your personal account/ information (e.g. Fast Money $1000; lend me your SingPass account)
- A high price for a zoom call (e.g. $50 for a 10 minute zoom session)
- Requests to use your own account on another online marketplace to purchase goods (e.g. “Help me purchase something on Shopee, will pay back later”)
- Sense of urgency (e.g “Pay me first”). Fraudulent members want the transaction completed quickly before we have a chance to investigate.
- Money lending quests (e.g. “I urgently need someone to lend me $xx to pay off my debt”)
- A suspiciously high value for the quest (e.g. $200 to look for an item)
When making offers on the app, we advise you to keep an eye out for suspicious behaviour and report it to us to investigate further.

If it’s too good to be true, it might just not be legit. Always check and confirm the validity of the quest before proceeding. If you’re still uncertain, feel free to report the quest and we will investigate it.
Some odd requests include request to use your own account on another marketplace (e.g Shopee, Lazada, etc) to sell or purchase goods (e.g. Help me purchase this item on Shopee, I will pay you back later.)
When a hero demands to be paid for the quest immediately even before completing the quest (e.g. Pay me first). Fraudulent members want the transaction completed quickly before we have a chance to investigate.
Some users may post quests such as “I urgently need someone to lend me $xx to pay off my debt” or quests along these lines. Please do not lend money to others for your own safety.
Quests that have high value for a simple task such as “$100 to look for an item” or “$150 to take picture of a building”. Please be aware of fraud and confirm the validity of the quest before proceeding. If you suspect the quest might be a scam, kindly report it to the Quest team.

What you can do to protect yourself from fraudulent activities
For your own safety and protection, do not disclose your private and personal information such as your contact details, NRIC, SingPass details, OTP, social media handles, addresses, etc.
We encourage users to use the app’s chat function for communication and our in-app payment method (QuestPay) for safety precaution. Be wary of suspicious requests such as high value payments and do not transfer any amount unless you are fully sure that it is safe.
What Quest is doing to protect users from scams and fraud
The Quest team is actively taking actions to better protect our users.
Inappropriate or undesirable behaviour on Quest will not be tolerated. Accounts may be subjected to temporary suspension or indefinite removal depending on the severity.
